Cocoon girl
A journey from within
This project is a collection of personal and poetic pop songs about transformation, self-exploration and the process of breaking free from destructive cycles.
The songs follow a chronological inner journey. From the feeling of being trapped within yourself, to the realization that change has to come from within ― to the moment of letting go.
The music moves between intimate songwriting and a more expansive sonic world, blending classical elements with samples, soundscapes and guitars. Together, the songs create a space where the personal becomes universal: a story about listening to your inner voice, confronting the patterns that keep you stuck, and finding the courage to change.
At its core, the project is about liberation.
About moving from the inside out.
About shedding what no longer belongs to you.
About breaking the cycle and becoming someone new.
Enter the cocoon
Concept
When a caterpillar enters the pupa, it creates a mass of new cells known as imaginal cells. The caterpillar’s immune system believes these cells are hostile. It tries to destroy them in order to preserve the old. But the imaginal cells don’t give up. They multiply. They connect, until eventually, they take over. It isn’t a small change. It’s a biological battle.
Maybe that was exactly what I was experiencing at the beginning of this project. Feeling lost. Realising that my old identity no longer worked, while the new one had yet to reveal itself. You think something is wrong, when really, it’s just your system fighting against the new.
The brain loves what it recognises. Even when it hurts. It resists change because change feels dangerous. In psychology, this can be understood as cognitive reorganisation: a necessary stage of chaos before the system can reorganise at a higher level. It means that our breakdowns and burnout don’t necessarily mean weakness — they are the beginning of reorganisation.
Because what can feel like an ending may actually just be biology making room for our wings.

About
I grew up surrounded by jazz and classical music, in a family of composers and musicians. After rebelling against traditional musicianship and later exploring commercial pop, I found myself somewhere in between.
My music brings together classical music, pop and electronic music, moving in the field of art pop, chamber pop and dream pop. At its core is a desire for something real and immediate — live instruments, human presence, and the tension between the familiar and the unexpected.
